Raising Funds for a Wheelchair for a Female Athlete in Nepal

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, the Leamington Spa Soroptimists organised a Nepal Curry Night to raise funds for a female disabled athlete in Nepal supporting the Nirmala Foundation. The event aimed to raise enough money to purchase a wheelchair, allowing her to pursue her sporting dreams with the necessary equipment.

Guests enjoyed a night filled with authentic Nepalese cuisine, vibrant cultural performances, and the opportunity to contribute to a life-changing cause. Thanks to the generosity of our local community, we successfully reached our fundraising goal. This initiative reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting women’s empowerment on a global scale, ensuring that women everywhere can overcome physical and financial barriers to achieve their potential.
